INTERIOR | Not Under Construction

Thoughts about things
Someone recently asked what we planned on doing with that unfinished lamp in our hallway, were we in the middle of redecorating?
My answer 'no, it's finished' just made her laugh, which made me laugh even harder because I was not joking.
These simple lamps made out of a single wire+bulb are nothing new on my blog, I'm sure youve seen one of them at some point (remember this little DIY?)
I love them, they are completely stripped of everything, I love to decorate with undecorated items, would that be not decorating?
Having fewer stuff feels like having more stuff. Unnecessary things aren't there, aren't seen so don't take up brain space, things don't have to compete for attention.
Things like these lamps give so much space to focus.

I adore your way of thinking- having less things equals having more things i.e space, room to think etc :)

I love your musings on minimal living, keep them coming! You're making me what to do a complete detox of my life and really simplify things not only mentally but physically. Though I'm not quite as minimal as you, so I would need to figure out ways to still maintain my love for pattern and color in my life. I am in love with your blog - so glad to have found a fellow fashionista who doesn't equate fashion with over-consumerism and who cares about the meanings of aesthetics.

I see your point, "Having fewer stuff feels like having more stuff. " It's like you are giving a chance to that one amazing item to shine instead of over cluttering a space and having to have items share the "limelight" so to speak.
Great concept and great post. Inspires me to be a little more minimal.
