I got mail from Charlie last week! She knows how much I love her work and was so sweet to let me wear it.
Had a quick meet-up with her in Antwerp during the sample sales last month, but we got too caught up in drinking Belgian beer, eating Belgian fries and going through the racks
of the Ann Demeulemeester and Haider Ackermann(where unlike everyone else, I ended up buying nothing), that we never got around to picking up her garments at her hotel.
Oh well, the long, heavy silk, mint coat -one of my favorite pieces from her show last year- did make it to my house in the end!

Het is gewoon nodig om nog één keer mijn adoratie voor jouw stijl uit te spreken!! Ikzelf hou er niet zo van om precies hetzelfde te dragen als anderen (niet dat ik 'anderen' daarom stom vind, het is gewoon dat ik liever niet in blazers bloesjes enz rondloop) maar sinds ik jouw blog heb ontdekt, ben ik er vrij zeker van overtuigd dat jij de ENIGE persoon bent die dat echt lukt, zich te onderscheiden, en er niet uitziet alsof je het echt probeert (mensen die rondlopen met dingen die je echt alleen aan moet doen als je in het circus werkt, alleen om op te vallen, dat vind ik het tegengestelde effect hebben.) Ik vind het daarbij ook gewoon zó ontzettend mooi!! en natuurlijk ga ik niet mijn haar heel licht verven en , op lippenstift na, geen kleur dragen (ik heb wel heel lang -tevergeefs- gezocht naar die doc martens) maar ik zou je graag benoemen tot genie. Sorry/geen sorry voor deze liefdesuitbarsting!!
