vintage sunglasses, limecrime lipstick
In case you have absolutely nothing better to do than to read why it is a big enough deal for me to make a post about wearing sunglasses then keep on reading.
Starting a post by talking about how the Dutch weather behaves might get a little tiring but the reality is that the weather over here dictates what we wear. Today was the first sunny day in June and if I have to believe the weather forecast, probably also the last. That's why I thought I'd take a snapshot of this joyous moment on which my favorite sunglasses finally got out of their drawer for a day.

I understand how that goes. The weather is notoriously important in life's goings-on where I live as well (dress for the weather is the most oft heard motto by my most people I know).

If I see even the slightest hint of sun, I slip my sunnies on. It's almost like if I want summer hard enough, it will come. It's winter here downunder at the moment, but I feel like a rockstar when I wear mine.

I feel you on the lame summer weather. San Francisco is exactly the same, it rarely breaks 60 degrees until late in the summer/early fall. But a truly warm day really is something you appreciate when you don't get it that often!

on the contrary, i currently live in a tropical sea-side city (salvador de bahia, brazil) and winter here means nights of 25 degrees C, and days of windy, sunny skies.
i love the weather here, but i rarely have the chance of overlaying or thinking on warm clothes.
i went back home (home being buenos aires) last july, just for visiting, and july over here is plain winter. i frozzed. big time HAHA
it was the first time in a loooong time i had to think on overlaying haha
