Eline Mul's feet, Thomas Vermeer, Marco van Rijt, Jean Paul Paula When I looked at the pictures I had taken at the press opening of Arnhem Mode Biennale I discovered a new pattern. The mayority of my pictures were of menswear and of the guys present, I guess it's just much more interesting than to photograph the highest heels in the room.

I think, that women can be inspired by men, and I love it when women wear minimalistic man accesories. I also think that those shoes are absolutely amazing! Love the color and the shape of them. I think I'll look a little closer next time I'm shopping with my boyfriend - but I dont think they have shoes in a 38... but maybe 39 if I'm lucky
Great post (:

love the seagreen shoes! awesome
I love your style, your persona and your blog but I wish you wouldn't be so condescending towards fashion in its usual sense (ref: not wanting to take pictures of high heels, your statement about blogs being dominated by posts about new things, etc). It's almost as if you are purposely trying to be different, trying to be unique.
And when you try to be someone who you are not, the buck stops right then and there.
Just a thought.
It's great that you appreciate unconventionality but don't disdain conventionality.
Thanks for your honest comment anonymous.
But no this was such a spontaneous post, it is a pattern I discovered in the outcome of my photographs. Usually I come home from these events withd a camera filled with pictures of the hightest heels. But this time other things were more interesting. Thought it would be an interesting thing to blog about.
About the purposely trying to be different, I have to admit to that a little bit. For example when I've prepared a blogpost or have been thinking to blog about a certain thing but then after see it on other blogs I don't want to blog about it anymore. But if you wnt to be innovative, don't you think you should look for new and different point of view?
The same thing goed for me as a blog reader, I love to read blogs with content I have never seen before.
awesome photos!great!kisses

Anon:I think I'd rather read something opinionated and different to see, that the same old thing cut from the same cloth

I loved this blog post, I wish there were more male fashion bloggers, or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? Does anyone know of any?
Anon's comment, although challenging, was polite and the fact you honestly replied to it makes me respect you. It was refreshing to read a comment that wasn't ass-licking and it was refreshing to read a reply that wasn't defensive.

P.S I love the sheer long sleeved top in the bottom photo. Especially the bunchy shoulder/ neckline !

Menswear is such a refreshing style! Sometimes it is needed to complement femininity.

die schoenen zijn best wel heel nice (:
I actually love looking at photos of fashionable men-there's so much inspiration to be found in how they dress. I love it!
Love your pictures!! I think it is great discovering new things about yourself! Keep it up!!

love those shoes <3
Yes, I can see that you put a lot of thought into your blog posts and that's one of the reasons why I love your blog. I, too, love to read blogs with content I have never seen before which is precisely why I read yours, Ivana! :)
I'm sorry if I came across as rude. I didn't mean to sound like that. I - as a reader - just felt that, of late, you've been trying to go against "fashion blogging" as it were.
Anyhow, keep up the good work! And even if you don't want to do outfit posts that often anymore, please know that I thoroughly enjoy what you put together!
lovely shots
aaah die eerste schoenen zijn geweldig! niet in de laatste plaats om de kleur <3

Don't apologize! Not rude at all, I really really appreciate your honesty. And I love the fact that my posts have triggered the start of a little discussion. Which wouldn't be possible if everyone agreed with eachother.
And yes you are holding a mirror infront of me again, I suppose Im going a bit against the stream, -maybe a bit much- lately. I think it's just a little fase. (I'll make sure it doesn't turn into something negative)
Sometimes you just get tired of fashion, chasing after the newest items and trends, having crazy cravings for material stuff. But then after an inspiring exposition, fashion show, seeing a beautiful editorial or reading an interesting article you realize that there is more to it. Just last week a beautiful video by Phillip Lim gave me goosebumps and made me soo enthusiastic again.
*Still love reading blogs more than any other medium at the moment, also the personal-diary-style ones.
*The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtaeSOKcB1s (be sure to watch it full screen + loud sound. Would a suggestion to turn off the lights be an exageration?)
very stylish guys! and i love the blue docs!
