Spring is the season that my jeans, leggings and tees fear for their lives; for it is the season that the scissors come ou4-t to slash them in half and rip them apart. But my dear clothes shouldn't be afraid because with these small adjustments they'll be loved and worn even more.
Today it was the turn of my new pair of vintage Levi's to become the perfect 1990s mom jeans, a cheaper and more real alternative to the ripped denim pieces from Acne. I'm sure everyone is capable of making a couple of holes in fabric. Though denim doesn't always do exactly what you want it to do, so I documented this little trick to make holes in denim while at the same time keeping the beautiful white horizontal threads intact.
1. Put on the jeans and mark the places you want the holes to be with chalk or pen.
2. Cut horizontal slits on the spots of the holes.
3. Start pulling on the white horizontal threads. You can use a needle to loosen them up.
4. After removing some of the horizontal threads, the vertical blue threads can be pulled out.
5. Pick and pull out all the blue vertical threads.
6. Done! The holes will look more natural after your jeans had a wash.

Yes, ripped denim has been around longer than my mom. Every season there are brands that show some sort of ripped denim (Margiela, Balmain..) Acne is one of my favorite brands, they are always spot on about what's going on in society and this time. I felt I had to mention them in this post because I ended up wearing the heels from the same collection as their denim pieces and it just became very similar.
I didn't begin this DIY with the Acne jeans in mind. I am even a bit against machine-ripped jeans, you should rip your own jeans :) Though you might be right that Acne's collection perhaps influenced me to want them now.

I've been suffering with light to moderate acne since I was 10. Now it's gotten better but I still get giant breakouts before my time of month. Is there anything that you use to help clear your acne? I am currently using proactive, but it doesn't help get rid of underground acne. And does your acne wash or natural remedy get rid of acne scars too? best treatment for acne scar
I have a lot of acne scars, and I really want to get rid of them. I've tried lemon juice, but it's not working too well. I put it on at least 3 times a day (in the past month) for 15 mins and wash with warm water, but i haven't seen really good results. I also have a lot of acne breaking out on my back that's painful, red and swollen. The pimples are hard and really hurt! :( PLEASE tell me any quick natural remedies because I don't have time to see the dermatologist until next month, and these pimples are really painful plus the acne scars are hideous. acne mark treatments
