D I Y / Gold Chained, White Leather iPhone Pouch

Here's a little, super easy, super quick DIY for you.
This is one of those spontaneous projects that I started without really having a plan beforehand, but which surprisingly turned out pretty OK!

What you'll need is a rectangular piece of leather, in which your phone will fit, leave a little space at the top.
Fold the two upper parts to create a hem and put some stitches on each side of the rectangle. Cut off excess leather.
Make a little incision with a stanley knife through the top of the leather or use a paper perforator to make a circular hole.
Put a necklace(I used a thrifted one I never wear) or a chain through it and you're done.

TOTALLY NOT, ANONYMOUS.
it was a super spontaneous picture of my kid right after her hair was combed. My boyfriend took it, I am pretty sure he hasn't seen that image. It hasn't been styled, it hasn;t been thought about, it was just a SNAPSHOT. Although in small format it looks very similar, it is different and our picture is taken from the back.

Fantastic DIY post! What a great idea for an expensive looking phone cover. I really need to know though....you wear so much white....HOW ON EARTH do you keep it all so clean when you're out and about. Every white item I own is ruined after a few hours.

I must be a mucky pup!

So you wear it as a necklace? I don't get it. The phone would go in between the chain? I think you need a special needle on your sewing machine for leather because its thick. Could you let us know and thanks.

Hi Erin,
If the necklace would be longer you could wear it as a necklace, the one I use is short so I use it around my wrist. The chain/necklace keeps the phone from slipping out, because the hems at the top are folded and the slit isn't very wide, the chain doesn't really slip out of it and doesn't go in between the phone.
There are special needles for leather, but I didn't have one on hand, so I used a regular needle on my sewing machine and went very slowly with some good quality thread. Hope this helped!

Rumors can be heard from several sources that Apple might launch the iPhone 5 in next summer. The covers of your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S can be used as iPhone 5 cases as the next version will almost be of the same size.
thanks
