Like tiny mountains forming a rocky and rough landscape, these rings lie randomly on my desk. They were part of the graduation collection of Rianne Suk, a friend of a friend, who let me borrow a few this week. I love the references to nature in Rianne's collection titled 'Earthly Prothesis'; from the rocky shapes in which she molded the fabric around the body to the actual pieces of french chalk(these stones with marble like veins in them) left raw and unrefined on the fingers of her models. For now her pieces can be ordered upon request.

These have to be the most exquisite rings i have ever seen! I love the idea of them being a 'prothesis', like the rings are an extra body part to allow you to connect with the mettle of the earth. Beautiful! Yet again i'm blown away by one of your talented friends.

This is insane!!! What a genius idea. I wonder how they did the right hole size for the fingers. Did they just drill right through? I'm assuming custom orders would need the customer's ring size. Fascinating

the lack of color makes it more intriguing.
I don't wear a lot of colors. I mostly wear grey. I prefer textures over colors, so i try to fill my wardrobe and bedrrom with different textures like pvc, metallics, faux fur, leather etc.
