N O V E L T Y / Rad Hourani, Collection Number 8

Not his latest collection but Rad Hourani's clothes never feel old as they are not bound to seasons or time as a whole. Collection number eight consists of only one garment executed in six different fabrics which created 22 looks in total. For men and women. Simple as that.

"I started imagining clothes the same way I started creating images: with a sense of curiosity and innocence driven by my no-background background. No school. No teachers. No telly. No boundaries. No formatting. I like the idea of a world that we could live in and shape by ourselves, only by observing. Each our own. My clothes have erupted from this world of mine. They are asocial, seasonal, they come from no place, no time. No tradition. Yet they could be home anywhere."

Wow, so sick he made a whole collection with this idea. I love timeless, non-season-bound garments. Great discovery! x

These jackets are so amazing. I love the way they are constructed.

Your blog needs to get out of this monotonus palette of blue/grey/white

As for Hourani he is pure genius. Been following this man for a while. Odd seeing you take an interest in him. It was probably the couture collection that did it for you, being it was historical, and received almost as much hype by the trendy blogs as did raf's "couture "

I don't even have to explain to you, or prove I love Rad's work longer than "other bloggers". Even if I did!? What's wrong with honestly loving something. Aren't blogs for sharing information?

But I've been following Hourani's work long before I even had any readers on Love Aesthetics. I used to write and blog for Mykromag.com who are close friends with Rad and have done many collaborations with him. I even met Rad himself briefly last year at Arnhem Mode Biennale. (=shook his hand like a shy fan and said "I love your work")

"Anonymous" above needs to get a life.

I've wanted to wear some Rad for several years now but it always seems extremely highly priced. Now he's doing "couture" I fear the prices are going to go up and up...

Heel mooi dit, knap: die vormen werken perfect, het silhouet is nog steeds prachtig.
