NYFW kept me up last night 'till 3 am. Though I love everyone's tweets about who they are having lunch with and what the editors and bloggers(I was in Pajama's if you cared to know) are wearing to the shows; I sacrificed a good night sleep for the clothes on the runway. When Alexander Wang's models appeared on my computer screen I had to gasp for air every time. It couldn't been more on spot. He literally torn apart basics and sportswear items like a leather baseball jacket and put them back together with invisible fishline making it appear as floating panels around the body. And even his little niece was wearing a floating leather dress.

Het is een fantastische collectie inderdaad. Ik vind het altijd heel speciaal om thuis achter je computer te zitten wachten tot de modellen verschijnen, super!

He's a freakin genius! I don't know how he came up with this, the floating panels left be breathless, who eds cut outs when they can just float around the body, and the fact that they glow in the dark is just WOW on WOW! In a world where fashion and ideas are so saturated, it gives me hope that there is still room for new ideas. Also, I worked with fishline hand stitching before last year, and it look 3 days just to hem the cutouts of a synthetic web dress because each one hand to be hand done and fish line is a nightmare to work with, you cant see it plus it keeps moving on its own and the rigity is makes it impossible to keep threading the needle.... WO! I'm SO crious as to whether or not he's gonna reproduce these piece for mass production bceasue even if he does, the workmanship will make them like at least 3000 pounds for a dress and it won't be that much in quanitity, either that or he figured a quicker way lol.... Oh btw, if you want to know what went down at London's Fashion's Night Out you got to check this out, there's a funny pic of me with Matthew Williamson even though I look odd so don't judge lol-

I tried to stay awake but finally slept in front of my computer screen before the show began!

So, I was able to see the show only early in the morning.. What an amazing show! Discovering each look was delicious!

That's until now my NYFW favorite collection!

Wang's show does really fit your style, or is it the other way around?

Hello! I saw you at Amsterdam Centraal this afternoon about to get on the same train as I did. Wasn't sure to say hello to you but really think that it's great to see you look exactly stylish in your blog and in the real life! I have been following your blog and admiring your piece of unique accessories, really inspiring! I wish you a great day!

LOVE AESTHETICS said...

Thank you for your super kind words Rien! Great to hear that Love Aesthetics serves you as some sort of inspiration when it comes to accessories. Next time please don't hesitate to come and say hi! Though I've met lots of cool people through blogging, it can be lonely aswell as it is only my computer and me, meeting people on the other side of the blog(=readers) always makes my day!
