D I Y / A Sweatshirt With A See Through Plastic Line
shorts: vintage adidas
Again, this DIY is super simple, perfect for impatient people like myself. I came up with the idea because I got a orange curry stain right in the middle of on one of my sweatshirts. The only way that it was going to ever come out would be with a pair of scissors.
-sweatshirt
-clear plastic
-scissors
-sewing machine/needle thread
Fold the sweatshirt in half aligning the side seams, take your time to find the perfect center fold. With sharp scissors slice the sweater in half cutting along the fold. Take the strip of plastic and close the cut back up with it. You can use regular thread and any sewing machine to attach the plastic to the fabric, make sure you do it slowly and that the stitches aren't too close together.

Heel erg gaaf!
Perfect! :)
Where did you get that sweatshirt, btw?
Love it!
I Have a question for you. In what stores or shops can you get that kind of plastic, and what exactly is it called? Cause I mean, it's not very thick, so is it like in a fabric store or a convenient store?
great idea! love it!

This is the best idea i've seen in ages
to me it looks just like a cut-through sweatshirt with a foil underneath. I think it would be better if you link those cut pieces with thin white stripes. But anyway this idea is great and creative :)
this is a brilliant idea! It can be done in many different ways. On the back, or on the arms would be genius too. Great post!
Fantastik!

yes for sure anon:
I bought the plastic at a regular fabric store, but you can also look for it at shops where they sell table cloths; they usually also have these plastic clear covers to protect the table cloths (my granny has them on her tables always to protect her dear embroidery table cloths) they are made out of the same type of plastic and sometimes you can even buy it per meter
Good luck!
Great tutorial and great resoult :) Love it!

Ivania-
Love your blog and the inspiration that it provides. I love the sweatshirt with the clear strip. I have been able to track down the vinyl but I wanted to know where you got your sweatshirt from? I really like the quality of it.
Thanks,
Ifey :)
Hi Ifey,
I got this one from a shop where you can print your own sweaters, Tshirts, Caps... I just asked to buy one without print :)
American Apparel has some beautiful unprinted sweatshirt too, hope this helped!
Oh wow. At first I though it was a jacket. That´s very creative. I love your tattoos as well.
